Embody Dance Future Teachers Programme is Designed by Emma, Studio Principal.
The Embody Dance Future Teachers Programme is designed to provide passionate Embody students with high quality training, building confidence and skills in dance teaching.
Future Teachers can apply to embark on an exciting and supportive course which runs through 10 months from September – June each year. During the program, students will participate in four training sessions at the Embody Dance Studio during the months of September, Oct, Jan and April. These sessions will introduce students to dance teaching techniques, inspire them to look towards their future and provide them with 1:1 guidance to become a future dance teacher.
As part of the program students will gain hands-on work experience for a minimum of 30 minutes each week. This valuable opportunity will allow students to assist and inspire younger dancers and apply knowledge from the training days. Future Dance Teachers will also have the opportunity to assist at Embody Dance Watch Weeks and Shows.
The Future Dance Teachers course is split into 3 levels. Students receive an award at the completion of each level. On successful completion of Level 1, Students will have the opportunity to complete Level 2 & 3. On completion of all 3 levels, students aged 16+ will have the opportunity to interview for an Assistant Dance Teacher role within Embody if there is an opening available.
