About Embody Dance

Located within Nuneaton, Embody Dance is a comprehensive and welcoming local dance school.

We have built a culture of friendliness and fun, and enjoy sharing this with our dance family. Operating since 2009, we employ a team of fully qualified community dance teachers who teach ages 1 to 100+ years.

There are no grades, no exams and above all … no stress!

Enroll to explore a variety of styles of dance including Musical Theatre, Street, Acro, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pop Dance, Over 50’s Dance, Pre-School Dance and more.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create a world where everybody can access dance, and to create an accepting community which provides supportive and nurturing opportunities so dancers of all ages and abilities can express themselves.

This beautiful and enriching sport is an incredible tool to teach body awareness, self-discipline and teamwork. Through our service of teaching dance, we provide exceptional coaching and leadership to our students.

While striving to instil the importance of manners, we also focus on good self-esteem and positive body image.

Emma Bright

Founder & Director

Grows the Company and Inspires the Embody Family, by
creating New Opportunities.

Emma established Embody Dance in 2009 on graduation from Chichester University with a BA Hons Dance Degree.

Embody Dance is a reflection of everything Emma ‘Embodies’ in life.

Sara Chowrimootoo

Vice Principal

Fuels the studio and team every day with passion. Plans ahead leading both children and teachers forwards.

Sara has worked solely for Embody Dance since 2014, on graduation from Northampton University with a BA Hons Dance Degree.

Sara has dedicated her dance teaching career to Embody Dance and is Studio Vice Principal.

Ceri Grant

Teacher & Head of Pre-School Dance

Engages, Excites and Empowers dancers to return to Embody
Includes every dancer and inspires the next generation.

Ceri began dancing at Embody Dance aged 4. Growing up in the Embody Dance Family, Ceri completed an apprenticeship with Embody Dance in 2020.

Ceri has home-grown Embody talent and is Head of Pre-School Dance.

Jemma Rolfe

Assistant Dance Teacher

Embody Dance Teacher in Training. Jemma works closely with the teachers at Embody Dance to develop her skills and knowledge with the vision to become an Embody Dance Teacher.

Jemma has been dancing at Embody since she was 10 years old. Jemma became part of the Embody Dance Team in 2024 as an Assistant Teacher.

Jemma is kind hearted, funny and patient with every child and loves to teach all ages and abilities.

Anya Briggs

Assistant Dance Teacher

Embody Dance Teacher in Training. Anya works closely with the teachers at Embody Dance to develop her skills and knowledge with the vision to become an Embody Dance Teacher.

Anya has been dancing at Embody since she was 4 years old. Anya became part of the Embody Dance Team in 2024 as an Assistant Teacher.

Anya is compassionate, enthusiastic, and attentive with every child she works with. She loves creating a joyful and inclusive learning environment for students of all ages and abilities.

Future Teachers

Embody Dance Future Teachers

Building the Embody Dance Teachers of the Future.

Embody Future Teachers are Embody Dancers from school years 8-11.
These dancers are taking part in Embody Dance Future Teachers programme.
The programme enables dancers to learn the fundamentals of teaching dance at Embody.

Future Dance Teachers assist in a minimum of one class per week at Embody.
They are the future.

James Bright

Operations Manager

Allows the company to run smoothly and effectively, through systems, processes, and communication.

James has a BA Hons Degree in Music and joined the Embody Dance Family upon meeting Emma in 2010.
James became a part of the Embody Dance Team in 2015.

James transitioned from being a Primary School Teacher to an Operations Manager, driven by his passion for music, dance, and live performance, while he still continues to teach as part of his commitment to education.

Steph Widdison

Embabies Lead & Enrolment Coordinator

Steph is a driving force in building excitement around Embody within the local community and is dedicated to supporting new families. She plays a key role in managing our enrolment process, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone. It’s likely that most people at Embody have interacted with Steph either face-to-face or through correspondence.

Inspired by the positive changes she saw in her own daughter through Embody Dance, Steph joined the team in 2023.

Steph is a cornerstone of our Pre-school Dance Program, she warmly welcomes and enrolls all new students into the Embody Dance family.

Rachel Loveridge

PreSchool Meet and Greet

Rachel welcomes new families, introduces them to the studio environment, and helps young dancers feel comfortable as they begin their classes. She provides information, answer questions, and ensure both parents and children feel supported and excited about joining our dance community.

Rachel Joined Embody as an adult dancer in 2021 and her two children also dance at Embody Dance.

Rachel cares and nurtures every dancer she meets.
